Today is National Wear Red Day to bring awareness for Heart Disease. This cause personally resonates with me because I have family members that have suffered from Heart Disease. I think that this will remind us to treat our bodies well and to try and live a more healthy and conscious lifestyle. We have one body and we should take pride in what we are blessed with.
What I’m Wearing:
top: Got it from Stockholm, Sweden
shoes: Charlotte Russe
What’s this 28-day challenge you say? Well I wanted to challenge you all to make 28 days of outfits based on what you already have in your closets! I am also challenging myself to do the same. You will be surprised what you come up with, not to mention you’ll be saving money by not shopping. I’m sure you’ll appreciate it once spring time hits and you’re ready to update that wardrobe of yours!
So join me on this 28-day challenge and let’s get creative! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

For those of you needing ideas on what to get your sister, mom, daughter, girlfriend, wife, etc. I have below a few gift ideas. These are things that I would personally love and I’m sure they would too!
I absolutely LOVE flowers and chocolate covered strawberries. I literally buy MYSELF fresh flowers just because they smell so amazing to me and lift my mood. And chocolate covered strawberries are a “mother-nature time of the month” staple!
I included a jewelry organizer as an option because she can never be too organized when it comes to jewelry. Her necklaces are probably all tangled, rings everywhere, and stud earrings missing a match. So I think this is a very practical and cute idea.
Forget me knot earrings because I think you can get creative with the presentation…maybe give them to her with a poem you wrote about never forgetting about her or something. Or a dainty heart necklace as an alternative. Every woman deserves her man’s heart.
I included 2 accessories, an embellished iphone case and a Tory Burch wallet. I love the wallet because of the color and I personally need a new one as my current one is all beat up. Again I think she would appreciate the thought of organizing her life just in time for Spring time! The embellished iphone case is just fun and cute!
A little something on Valentine’s Day…I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. I know, I know…I’m weird, but it’s not that I’m against it, I just think that Valentine’s Day should be year-round right? Not just one day a year that you show your love for your family, friends, and significant other. I did not participate last year as it was my first time not passing out little notes about how much I care about my loved ones and I must say it was kind of a downer. As much as I’m against the whole concept of Valentine’s Day and it being a reason to spend money I really enjoy making sweets for people and surprising them with a little something (like a note or stationary) to brighten their day and let them know they are cared for by someone.
So this year I will participate in the festivities, but I still believe that it was a made up holiday for people to spend money. Just my opinion. I won’t be buying any gifts, just supplies to make some yummy treats!
Let me know any ideas for Valentine’s Day gifts for Him!!!
Hello friends!!! I wanted to share this week’s cravings from Wrk It Girl. Included in this list are a pair of nude Yves Saint Laurent pumps that I’ve been eyeballing for a while now. They are such a classic wardrobe staple yet they’re still a statement piece. I also heard that YSL shoes are pretty comfortable. I can’t wait for my first pair!
I’ve also been wanting a brand new crisp button down shirt. I already have one from Banana Republic and I’ve had it for about 3 years now, but I just love the fresh look of that clean crisp brand new white button down shirt. Having a white button down shirt is an essential piece to anyone’s wardrobe male and female.
Emerald Green is really in this season, so I wanted to spice up my purse collection with an emerald green purse.
What are this week’s cravings for you?
Thanks for visiting!

Hello friends! Last night I attended the Diva Creations by Joy Launch party at River Oaks Beauty Bar. Joy is an amazing makeup artist and extension specialist and her launch party was for her services and to also celebrate her birthday! She aims to provide a great experience for her clients and to bring out the “Diva” in each one of us! I really enjoyed supporting my friend and fellow makeup artist and she looked stunning! There was a special performance by SoBe Lash!, a pop artist who’s musical style is a mix between Rihanna and Kesha. She has an amazing voice and stage presence not to mention her fashion was on point! I love something different and colorful and that’s what she brought to the table!
There were also handmade clutch bags on display from Rahill Raheem and she is also a fellow makeup artist. The designs were very bold in color and perfect for an evening out. Joy’s jewelry was provided by Mooncat Designs and it was a very eclectic piece with pearls, bottle caps, rhinestones, you name it!
Later on I participated in my first television interview with The Ruben Stunner Show ! What an experience with all of the lights and the cameras. I hear people say the lights are so hot, but they really are. I felt like the camera could pick up my sweat on my forehead. I really don’t remember what I said so I guess I’ll just have to wait until it airs on tv! Ruben was so nice and his staff made me feel very comfortable and relaxed during my interview. It was so much fun! I have more pictures from the interview on my Instagram!
All in all I had a great time and I was so happy to be apart of Joy’s big day! She is so sweet and I look forward to what she brings us next!
I wanted to share some pictures with you all from the event like the fashion, makeup, and just the overall atmosphere. It was a very red carpet experience. Thanks Diva Creations!

Today was so beautiful out…clear skies, low humidity, and so relaxed. I love my wedge sneaks from Target and my favorite way to wear them is with a really wide leg sweat pants. It was a little chilly out so I throw on a pleather jacket and a scarf and I was ready to go about my day! I wanted to share with you all that I will be going to New York City next month for Fashion Week and I cannot wait to share with you all my experience. It’ll be my first NYFW and I cannot begin to describe how nervous, happy, excited and anxious I am. Stay tuned for NYFW updates straight from the runway!!!
Thank you so much for visiting and see you next time!
Hello All!!! My latest tutorial is now live on YouTube with bright blue, navy blue and black eyeshadows! I am stepping out of the box and trying something totally out of my comfort zone. I used the BH Cosmetics 3rd Edition 120 Color Palette, a white eyeliner, and black eyeliner. Follow the steps in the video to re-create this look!
Enjoy and let me know what you think!!!!

I have a large collection of fashion magazines that I have accumulated over the years. I can’t seem to let them go because they were my source of inspiration and my reason to continue dreaming. The women and the articles that were featured also were a source of inspiration and motivation for me in my younger years and my impressionable days. I wanted to share with you my favorite magazines and the ones that I feel give me the most for my money’s worth because buying magazines can get expensive.
My number one favorite is Vogue. They always have a way of featuring intriguing and content rich articles. A person’s accomplishments and journey in their professional career is always tied back to the relevant topic of fashion.
My next favorite is InStyle Magazine. They not only provide great styling tips but also provide a platform of substance that I seek out.
Last but not least I LOVE Allure magazine for all of the latest beauty trends!
I hope this helps, and no this was not a sponsored post. I just wanted to share my favorite magazines that I go to for my yearly inspirations. I even refer to the ones from 2004 or 2005 that I still enjoy reading from cover to cover as if it were the first time!

I have been extremely busy and productive with my work and my business that I realized it was already the 18th of January! Everyone has already forgotten about their new year resolutions and have gone back to their normal lives. This was very indicative when I went to the gym on January 2nd and you couldn’t get a free machine for the life of you. Now, a few weeks later, I can enjoy a nice stretch without accidentally punching my neighbor in the face. I had a moment to reflect on this past year and past few years for that matter. I had some really tough times in so many different ways. I cried a lot. I was sad most of the time. And when I think of how I am now, I realize that I had nothing to be sad about. Of course you couldn’t tell me that then, but now I realize that it all had a reason.
I remember a time when I was younger in my high school days and I had it all figured out. I was totally comfortable with who I was. I knew I was going to be SOMEBODY! But for the past few years, especially last year, I have felt increasingly uncomfortable in my own skin. I felt like I didn’t know who I was or what my purpose was. I was changing jobs every 6 months or so and I was on a new “journey” every few months. I finally realized that it was the painful process of finding myself. I didn’t know what I was going through. No one told me it would feel like that. No one tells you that you will be confused most of the time, while putting on a facade that you’re an “independent woman”(or man) going places in life. I only learned recently that of all the young people around my age who said they were “somebody” really were just as confused as I was. We were all the same! We had the same insecurities, the same fear of failure, the same pride, the same struggles.
So I wrote this to let you know that if you are going through it, you are not alone. We are all trying to figure it out, just like you are. Whoever you are. We are just learning along the way through our mistakes, through our own research, through our mentors, our families, friends, colleagues, etc. I saw a quote yesterday and I wanted to share it because I found it so profound,
“Success is not built on success. It is built on failure. It is built on frustration. Sometimes it is built on catastrophe”-Sumner Redstone Chairman
I was so afraid to fail, but it is exactly what leads to success. Keep in mind that you WILL mess up. It’s ok. Your family will still be your family and your true friends will still be your true friends. That’s all you will need to know to keep going. I am now at a good place in my “figuring it out” journey. I don’t know everything but I finally see a tiny little gleam of light at the end of the tunnel. And you will too.
